Graduate Site Engineer

Due to several new projects being awarded, we have a requirement to add several Graduate Site Engineers to our growing team.

Salary: €30,000 – €35,000

Due to several new projects being awarded, we have a requirement to add several Graduate Site Engineers to our growing team.

The successful applicants will gain experience on a variety of projects, including Data centres, Substations, large industrial developments, and electrical infrastructure projects, gaining valuable experience across multiple divisions.

The Role

We are seeking students who are studying Civil Engineering, Building Services or Project Management and will be graduating in Winter 2023 and Summer 2024.

Graduate opportunities will primarily be site-based positions with the successful candidate obtaining valuable on-site exposure to civil construction sites working on projects for some of the largest companies in Ireland.

You will work closely with the Site Management team, gaining valuable exposure and experience to all aspects of the civil construction management process including Project Management, Engineering, Health and Safety, Environmental, Quality and Commercial disciplines.

Duties

  • Setting out of works on site using a variety of setting out equipment including Dumpy level, Laser Levels, Total Station, and GPS equipment.
  • Raising technical queries, technical issues and assisting with resolution of issues.
  • Ensuring that only the latest issue drawings and documents are being used.
  • Ensuring all site personnel have clear, accurate and appropriate information to carry out their duties.
  • Carrying out inspections in accordance with the Inspection and Test Plan.
  • Completion of Quality assurance check-sheets, pre-pour inspections and completion of Quality benchmarks for the works completed.
  • Accurate maintenance of Quality Management System records.
  • Production of As-built surveying records and completion of red-lined as-built markup drawings.
  • Ensuring activities are carried out in safe manner in accordance with the Project Safety Plan.
  • Keeping a daily site diary, recording the tasks completed, outputs completed, materials and plant used and recording of photos of works being completed.
  • Informing senior management of any non-conformances or poor workmanship.
  • Ensuring correct materials are being used for the correct application during construction.
  • Assisting site management team with quantifying materials required and materials used.
  • Assisting Commercial team with site quantities and measures for monthly valuations.

About You

  • Positive can-do attitude with a willingness to learn.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Computer literate with proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • Experience in AutoCAD and Autodesk software.
  • Driving License (desirable)
  • Previous experience in construction (desirable)
  • Setting out experience (desirable)
